SEWER REPAIR GRANT - 2026 FUNDING EXHAUSTED - Applications are not being accepted

Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES) provided $60,000 for the city to assist Crystal homeowners needing to line, repair or replace their sewer service in 2026. Those funds were exhausted on Feb. 26, 2026. The city is no longer accepting applications for the MCES program.

Alternative Funding Assistance:

Sewer lining, repair and replacement are eligible costs for the city’s Home Improvement Grant program which has income limits and other requirements. The Home Improvement Grant would pay 40% of the sewer project cost for qualifying households. The Home Improvement Grant is administered for the city by Center for Energy and Environment and you can apply online.
