The Crystal Cove Aquatic Center is now open for the season. A public celebration has been rescheduled due to rain. Celebrate with us Tuesday, July 1 from 4-8 p.m. The event includes free swimming from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Ceremony and ribbon cutting begins at 5 p.m. Open house with activities follows the ribbon cutting.

The Crystal Frolics annual celebration is July 24-27 at Becker and Welcome Park in Crystal. The event will include live music, fireworks, family festival, softball tournament, button/crystal search, food and vendors, disc golf, pickleball, Bingo, inflatables, 5K run/walk, food drive and more.

Crystal's annual Night to Unite is Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025. Join your neighbors across the City of Crystal to celebrate and strengthen neighborhood and community partnerships. It’s the perfect opportunity for neighborhoods to gather together and enjoy a summer evening.

In 2025, the recycling program in the City of Crystal expanded to include the curbside collection of organics. Organics consist of food scraps and non-recyclable paper such as napkins and paper towels, and it will be collected weekly on the same day as residents’ trash. Organics should be put in a compostable bag. Compostable bags can be found in many stores such as Menards and Target. Compostable bags have the BPI logo on the box and bag. Paper shopping bags are also acceptable.

The City of Crystal, through the West Metro Fire-Rescue District, is working with Smart911 to notify residents via email, text, phone or social media when there are emergencies. To receive these mass notifications, residents must opt in, sign up for an account and share the varying levels of information that they want police, fire and EMS to utilize when responding to a 9-1-1 call. Residents can sign up for Smart911 here.

Crystal property owners can view their current and past water usage and set up alerts via the city’s new SENSUS Customer Portal.

Next curbside pickup for the City of Crystal is March 30 – April 9, 2026. The Hennepin Recycling Group (HRG) curbside bulky waste cleanup takes place in even-numbered years for the city.
